No prior knowledge required. We take you through how to look after your brakes whilst on the bike, and when cleaning it. We go through changing brake pads and rotors and their different types and then look at the full brake bleeding process. This is a hands on day and you should leave confident that you can bleed brakes, change pads and rotors and know when things are working properly!
No prior knowledge required. We start the day explaining how mechanical gears actually work, and the names and roles of the key components. We then look at how to clean and maintain your drivetrain on a day to day basis, including which lube to choose to suit your riding.
We go over when to change a chain, and then how, before moving onto gear adjustment and replacing cables. You should finish the day confident that if there is a problem with your shifting, that you can diagnose it and for the most part, fix the problem.
We take the unknown out of setting your wheels up tubeless. We cover the benefits (and pitfalls) of being set up tubeless and how to get yourself out of trouble if problems arise out on the bike.
We then guide you through setting your own wheels up tubeless, and talk through the maintenance required to keep them running without a hitch for hundreds of miles. The cost of the course includes Muc-Off rim tape and sealant. If tyres of valves are required these will be available at a discounted rate.
Being able to keep your wheels true and replace broken spokes is a great way of making sure your bike is safe and can save you costly repairs in the future. This half day session gives a basic overview of how the parts of the wheel work with each other, and how to make small adjustments to ensure your wheels are running true. You will have the chance to replace a spoke on a wheel in a trueing stand as well as being shown how to carry out a basic true of a wheel whilst on the bike.
This one day session covers all the things that our mechanic do as a matter of course before and after every ride to make sure their own bikes are safe and running smoothly. We start with a safety check and how to identify issues with your bike and when to ask for help. Correctly cleaning your bike keeps it running smoothly, helps the parts last longer and it looks better too! We show you how to carry out a deep clean of your bike, with wheels removed, the drivetrain degreased, brakes adjusted and all put back together properly. You should leave this session with confidence to carry out the day to day cleaning a lubrication of your bike in a way that will definitely save you money in the long run!
If you have a specific session that you would like us to put on then please get in touch.
