This 3 day course is an intensive introduction into the world of professional bike maintenance. Suitable for someone either interested in general bike care or considering a move towards working with bikes in the future.
This is a 2 week full time training and is seen as the real starting point to learning how to look after bikes within the bike industry.

The City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Cycle Mechanics is a foundational qualification designed for those starting a career in bicycle repair and maintenance. This entry-level award focuses on equipping learners with essential skills and knowledge required for basic cycle servicing and repair tasks.

Our two week course (weekdays only) has been designed to follow the City and Guild syllabus to ensure that all the essential skills of day to day bike repair are covered over the two week period, and that all skill neccessary to gain the C and G qualification are covered. This is a course for any aspiring bike mechanic and delivered by highly experienced and knowledgable trainers.
On top of the training and assessment, all students are welcome to bring thier own bikes along so they can work on them in their spare time. You will also receive:
The total cost of the course is £1450, with a non-refundable £250 deposit required to reserve your workstand. Final payment is required before the course commences. As this is a recognised qualification you may be able to get assistance with the fees from your employer.

understanding in building, servicing, repair and maintenance of all types of cycles.
Some of the key skills learners will have acquired upon achievement of this qualification
are:
*Remove and replace cycle tubular and tubeless tyres
*Remove and replace cycle braking and gear systems
*Remove and replace cycle hub bearings

This qualification is for learners who want to develop some of the key skills and

employment as apprentices to become a Cycle Mechanic.

possibility of embarking into an apprenticeship in other sector areas such as the motor
vehicle industry or engineering manufacturing.
